Soundtrack of the Moment: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World

Inception had a great score but Scott Pilgrim may have had the best soundtrack of the year. It had a pretty good score too but the soundtrack featured Beck, Broken Social Scene, and Metric! I mean, this has to beat the (more awesome than should be) Twilight soundtrack. The movie was fantastic and the music played along with it well and I can’t say the same for anything else that’s out. One of the songs that stood out was initially performed by Metric but was said to be by The Clash at Demonhead, which had Brie Larson who plays Scott’s Ex. She actually did the vocals to this song!

Beck’s film name was The Sex Bob-Ombs, which was a band that included Scott and his friends. Heck, the movie has a battle of the bands, literally, and for that alone it should be worth checking out! For some reason, this movie did not do so well in the box offices for opening weekend. It could have been due to the other popular movies coming out the same weekend, or it could have been the free screenings. It’s not very certain but one thing is for sure, more people need to see it! Change that now?

Bonus: Soundtrack Featurette with small interviews and a nice trailer
